MUUN Magazine

A fictional concept magazine created while in design school

THE WILD ISSUE

Muun was created out of a need for a publication to focus on the content vs. designing around the ads.

The concept is based around each issue’s content having a singular topic featuring stark black and whits with hints of a singular color that will be shown through body and copy and overall text/graphic elements. I strategically placed the advertisements at the beginning and end of the magazine to not disrupt the flow the each article or photography series.

THE CHALLENGE

Creating a publication in itself is already a monumental task, but being the sole individual to concept, curate, design and produce a magazine was extremely demanding within such a tight timeline.

MY FOCUS —
• Consistent brand and tone through out all 80+ pages
• Develop a solid relationship with the photographers that were contributing to the piece
• Put yourself in a box and then break out of it

BRANDING MUUN

The dark side of fashion. The MUUN concept was based around dark, couture fashion with a strong focus on women’s clothing. It walked the line of dark/occult culture and androgyny.
